Sunny Days!

As the weather has been unbelievable and classes have been winding down, me an Jenny have been outside doing as much as we can that has nothing to do with school. These pictures are from Colliery Dam Park, Stephenson Point Beach, and of course Bowen Park. Last night was a clear full moon night and I got some awesome photos in the moonlight of the pulp mill and the moon and beach. Hopefully the wicked weather keeps up. The photos of the moon and the mill I took with my old Nikon telephoto lens using my NX to F mount lens adapter which lets me use my old Nikon lenses for my 35mm film camera on my Samsung NX body. I got it on eBay for $22, totally worthwhile. I hope you enjoy, and I am looking forward to coming home to Alberta with a hunger to explore more of my own beautiful province, a journey I think is long overdue.

About Me

My photo
Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Just a dude with some pens, pencils, markers, and a camera. The natural world is my inspiration for all my art, I often borrow concepts and ideas from the creepy crawly inhabitants living in my back yard, on the beach, or in books I read. I also get alot of my ideas by the visuals in my head I get upon contemplating the titles of songs from many of my favorite bands. Most of which are metal bands, needless to say there are some interesting song titles within the genre. As of late I have had a re-awakening of the spider lover within me, reminiscent of my days as a young boy out in the yard with a magnifying glass.
